RBI on road to financial inclusion

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee and the governor of the Bankers” Bank was at a village in the outskirts of Bangalore, teaching, as part of the festivities. However, the RBI governor Duvuri Subba Rao himself visited a village on the outskirts of Bangalore on the same day that the central bank celebrates its Platinum Jubilee and was in an unfamiliar setting in the village of Doddabelavangala, about 48 km from the city of Bangalore. But, he began to fulfill a promise that financial inclusion will start with the state of Karnataka.

Moreover, he went there to give the school children a little financial counseling on the occasion of the RBI’’s 75th anniversary whereas financial inclusion, mostly inclusion of all farmers in the credit program and financial literacy, especially amongst the younger generation, were amongst the main things he stressed upon in his speech to the rural people.
